Matthew Clarke
Matthew’s eternal passion and interest for Sport has led him being involved in Sport throughout his life and professional career in many different ways, as an enthusiastic athlete in tennis, sailing and cycling and as a professional of several corporations involved in major sport events. After graduating in construction engineering and project management, Matthew has worked as a lead Project Engineer and Project Manager in Construction, and Senior Project Manager in major development projects for Lend Lease, in Australia and the USA. Matthew was one of the Project Leaders for the design and construction of the Aquatics & Athletic Center and the Athletes Village for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. A unique position of working for 4 years on Homebush Bay development in its drive to host the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. Matthew worked on major retail development projects in both Australia and the USA, and worked with Renzo Piano and team on the Aurora place development in Sydney.
Thereafter, he took a full time role in SOCOG as Head of Procurement and Logistics. So in total over 7 years on Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. Of particular note was Matthew's work with Linfox, Australia's leading and largest logistics and distribution company for 3 years in both Olympics, National Distribution and Property Development.
Matthew then joined DB Schenker, leading the strategy and business development activities for global sports events, further professing in project management, event management and logistics services. Matthew served in total 12.5years for DB Schenker.
Matthew oversees all client services and generic growth of accounts for Amadeus. Matthew has provided competencies in project management and operations management for Sochi 2014, IFSC, and Expo 2015. As General Director of GEM Technology, Matthew was responsible for the new business joint venture.
Matthew continues to lead Amadeus’ vision to be a project management and consulting services company, embracing professional and innovative solutions implemented in the sport and event industry.
